Drama in Elsinore
The lovely couple of Hamlet and Ophelia has split. After a gruesome murder of his father, Hamlet fell into a deep dark abyss that is depression. While in this hole Hamlet got addicted to a number of illegal drugs, his personal favorite being LSD. While tripping on some LSD he saw his fathers ghost and the vision told him to kill his uncle. This brought Hamlet out of depression, but he then went completely insane. Hamlet still strung out on drugs takes a bad batch of PCP, wigs out on his mother and kills his ex-lovers father, Polonius. Ophelia had been going through life very distraughtly since her breakup and had been casually using drugs and drinking heavily. After she finds out of her fathers murder, her fragile mind can't take it and she completely goes off the deep end. She decides to take a bunch of ecstasy to take her mind off of the pain. This has a detrimental effect on her brain and she goes completely insane, just like her ex-lover Hamlet. For now there is no end in sight for the insanity but life, for some people, goes on.

To be or not to be
To die or to live, that is the question.
Is it more acceptable to endure suffering,
the treacheries of living?
Or to do something about all of your troubles
and do something to end them, to die, to sleep never again?
But really sleep is how your life ends.
The heartache and other thousand things of suffering
that people are made to endure, is it an ultimate goal
to honestly want to die?
To die and maybe dream? That is the problem.
Because when you die, what would you dream
when you have died?
Gives you second thought, there's the catch
that makes you live out a life of hardships.
Who would you endure these pains of living for?
The enforcers are wrong, the proud man's humiliation
the pains of hated love, that delays
the arrogance of officials, and the scorn
that takes away the honor of the unworthy.
When he himself might kill himself.
With a dagger? Who would bear these burdens.
To grin and bear an undesirable life.
But the fear of something after death.
The undiscovered land, a boundary for all
from which no human returns, puzzles the mind
and is the reason we endure the hardships we have
rather then venture into ones we don't know about.
These thoughts make cowards of us all,
therefore the only solution to this problem
is to do nothing other then think,
and because of this, plans are put off,
and are no longer action!

Thanksgiving Weekend
This Thanksgiving weekend I did a lot of fun stuff
But I strongly believe that it was not long enough
I went hunting almost everyday
Because it's the funnest thing ever, I would say
I got to eat a lot of really good food
And that always puts me in a pretty good mood
The Cowboys won their Thanksgiving game
They beat the Dolphins and put them to shame
I spent quality time with my family
We played games and laughed very happily
But now it is over and man it was fun
But in some different ways I am glad it is done

On Sunday
If you ask what I do on a normal Sunday
I would not be sure about what to say
It really depends on the time of year
Whether it's the middle of summer or winter is near
In the summer, this weekend day
Golf is the sport that I like to play
I am usually out on the course with my dad
But he is no competition, and I beat him real bad
But during the special season of Fall
When hunting is my favorite thing of all
On Sunday's I go out from morning till night
Looking for elk, I go to great heights
That's what I do on curtain Sundays
And they are, very fun days

The power of exhaustion.
A time in my life that I was very exhausted and did a silly thing was last spring. I was at a cabin with my friends Mike Brooke and Ruby. One night after we had a long day full of adventure, we were just hanging out and talking. Mike and Brooke were sitting across the room from me, and I was laying in my bed listening to my ipod. I don't remember anything after that, but there is more to the story. Mike and Brooke told me the next morning about what I had done. Apparently I woke up because Brooke and Mike were being unruly and loud. Being that I was extremely tired, I started yelling profanities at them. They started laughing at me which only provoked me more. I yelled at them so loud that I woke up Mike's sister who was sleeping in the living room. After I was done yelling at them, I laid back down, put my ipod headphones back in and sang "sexy can I." I don't even have that song on my ipod!

The fight
Just the other weekend I was hanging out with my friend Micheal. We were thinking about what to do, and decided we would pull a prank on some of our friends. The prank we decided was to put condoms on a few of their vehicles. We failed at doing this task without the people noticing except for on one of our friends vehicles, Dalen's. I notified Mike that I had secured one lubricated condom on Dalen's passenger side windshield wiper. After a while of talking to Dalen, I convinced him to turn his windshield wipers on to see how well they worked. Dalen was completely oblivious to what was happening and he turned them on. This made the condom wipe across his window, spreading lubrication very thoroughly on its way. I started laughing hysterically, when Dalen saw what had happened he viciously attacked me. Luckily I got to my pickup in time to lock myself in its safety. Dalen was very angry, he got the condom and proceeded to wipe it all over my windshield. I drove off and went to clean my window off, condom lubrication doesn't come off very easily. I later called Dalen to try and make peace. We talked on the phone for a long time and argued over which one of us was "even" or not. We both finally agreed to end the conversation, and that our fight was over. Since then everything has been cool between Dalen and I.

Love
Love is a complicated four letter word
One I believe that everyone has heard
Love can mean many a different thing
It can make you cry or it can make you sing
It can be the type you have for your mother
Or it can be the kind that couples show one another
Love is a feeling that is real crazy
And anybody can love, even if there real lazy
Love is a game that some people play
But ones that play tricks, they always do pay
Maybe I will find love in some time
But until that day I will just rhyme

Questions and Comments
Dear, Will
After reading Othello I have a few questions and comments. First I would like to ask what in the world were you thinking when you wrote the death scene and Desdemona dies, comes back to life and then dies again. That is just ridiculous and impossible! The second thing I would like to say is how well you used comedy in this very serious and tragic play. Anyone who starts this play is bound to read more because of one line, "the old black ram is tupping your white ewe." That line just got me hooked. Only a genius could write a line that is that amazing. Overall you did a very nice job on this play, and feel it will be very popular for many generations to come.
Sincerelly ,
Chance Stephens
P.S. When are you gonna write a real comedy?

A Morning to Remember
On this morning ten years ago
I saw sad things on the early show
The towers had been hit by a terrorist attack
America was stabbed right in the back
There was a dark cloud over New York City
The whole situation was just real sh***y
Everyone around was yelling and screaming
No one knew if there was any meaning
Many heroes arose to the call
I wish I could say that they saved them all
But on that sad day in the beginning of September
Many innocent people lost their life, and we'll all remember

Othello's point of view
Hi, my name is Othello and right now some good things are happening in my life. I just got married to a Senator's daughter, who I am madly in love with, Desdemona. We got married without the consent of her father, Brabantio, who then thought I used magic to make his daughter commit such an act against him. I clearly did not do such a thing, but instead she fell in love with me because of my stories about what all I have gone through in life. Our love is magical and can not be broken. Now I must go to war, but I will be accompanied by my love, Desdemona.

When I hear "Shakespeare."
When I hear the work "Shakespeare" I think about his plays that he wrote many years ago. I also think about how different things were when he wrote them, and how widely know they still are today. Another thing I think about is the flow of his writing, and how he made Iambic Pentameter. I like how Shakespeare's writing has deep emotional meaning and how well it all flowed and had rhythm. The last thing I think about is what type of vocabulary he used. It isn't considered proper English anymore, and his vocabulary is very distinct.
